The Princess and the Frog

The Princess and the Frog is Disney’s latest offering and a return to old style animation. The plot is loosely based on novel by E D Baker – The Frog Princess.
It tells the story of Prince Naveen from Maldonia who arrives in town to deal with voodoo magician Dr Facilier who turns Prince Naveen into a frog. Needing a kiss on the lips from a beautiful princess Prince Narveen mistakes Tiana for a princess and kissing her on the lips turns her into a frog too! Tiana is a waitress aiming to fulfill her late father’s dream of opening a restaurant. What follows is an adventure through the bayous of Louisana, the banks of the Mississppi and the colourful spectacle of New Orlean’s Mardi Gras in search of the good voodoo queen.
Filled with memorable characters, wonderful music Disney have done it again! A wonderfully animated musical with lots of new characters that children and adults will love.

Peppa Pig’s Party – Live on stage. A sure hit with youngsters Peppa Pig has catapulted to super stardom over the last few years. The BAFTA Award winning TV programme is transported to a live stage show where it’s a very special day – Peppa’s birthday. Join in the fun and songs with Peppa and her little brother George, Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog and Emily Elephant.
Postman Pat – Newly promoted to Head of the Special Deilvery Service or SDS Pat brings a brand new show called “A Very Royal Mission” With only a short time to prepare for a visit from someone special to open the brand new SDS sorting office Pat and Jess have their work cut out. What will go wrong………..
Noddy Live – Noddy and Tessie Bear have invited everyone to join in their sing-a-long, dance-a-long party in Toy Town. Celebrating 60 years of Noddy children will love this fun filled adventure.

Disney To Acquire Marvel Entertainment

Disney recently announced that it would buy Marvel Entertainement in a deal worth around $4 billion. The comic giant’s portfolio consists of over 5000 characters including Captain America, X-Men and Hulk with Spiderman probably the most famous.
Disney president and chief executive Robert Iger said “We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation.”
Also Stan Lee who created Spiderman plans a new project with Disney – an animated comic book to be made available online and on mobile phones. The (young) 86 year old will voice the head of the organisation that the super hero works for and has high hopes of its success. The name of this new venture is ‘Time Jumper.’
New Toy Story Range At Rest And Play

With a brand new movie eagerly awaited for June 2010 it’s hard to believe it has been 14 years since the first Toy Story hit our screens.
In the first movie we are introduced to Buzz Lightyear, Woody and the gang who make up Andy’s toys and the rest as they say is history.
The continued success of Toy Story with another movie spawned a range of merchandise from character toys to a bedding range to backpacks (I remember queuing one Christmas for a Buzz toy for my nephew).
Recently we’ve added some backpacks, a swim bag, a wheeled bag and junior bedding to our range with more to follow soon.
We have two sizes of back pack, one to suit the younger space ranger featuring Buzz, Woody and the gang.
A larger backpack for older children in black with orange piping features a large image of Buzz Lightyear.
For swimming trips we have a fab swim bag and for holidays and sleepovers a cool wheeld bag.
A brand new range of bedding made especially for cot/junior beds is also now available. More items to follow soon.
