Adapted from a Japanese series Power Rangers is a long running American children’s television show.
Power Rangers feature a team of teenage superheroes who set out to save the world by working together as a team, overcoming challenges and looking out for each other. Set in the fictional town of Angel Grove California and led by Zordon the Power Rangers consist of five teenagers who can “morph” into a superhero usually wearing a brightly coloured battle suit and helmet featuring an opaque visor.
Once “morphed!” a power ranger can possess superhuman strength and combat ability. A mixture of superheroes, high action and evil enemies have made Power Rangers a favourite for almost 15 years and with a buy out by Walt Disney Company between 2001 and 2002, regular TV slots and a massive merchandise operation Power Rangers looks to be around for a long time.
